Hello! I'm glad you found me! Were you searching for me? Did you put a "c" in my last name and spell it "Jacques"? Most people do. Or maybe you're wondering how to pronounce Jaques? Well, it rhymes with Cakes. Don't ask me why, I couldn't tell you.

Now that we've got that out of the way...

I'm a multi award-winning screenwriter who writes high concept comedies and dramas with memorable characters you'll want to know in person. I love comedy, and even my dramas have a healthy dose of humor, because... the world. We can all use some laughs, even when we're exploring existential themes.

 

My feature screenplay DEEPA BY DESIGN, a coming-of-age drama-comedy loosely based on my husband’s family, has won multiple awards including PAGE Finalist, Academy Nicholl Quarterfinalist, Lonely Seal Film Festival's Best Feature Screenplay, and more.
